Russia, China, Iran defeat U.S. in the “pipeline wars”

While the West kills thousands of civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan and ravages both countries, Russia, China and Iran are acquiring the crucial energy riches of Central Asia and the Caspian area without firing a shot.

A major reason for the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Afghanistan was the building of a pipeline through the country that would take natural gas from Turkmenistan to India and Pakistan. Canada and the other 44 Western countries occupying Afghanistan are supporting this U.S. objective by bolstering Washington’s military position in the country.



Turkmenistan, which borders Afghanistan, contains the fourth largest reserves of natural gas in the world. The U.S. has been trying to set up the pipeline for a decade, having first negotiated the venture with the ousted Taliban government. Two months after these negotiations broke down, Washington overthrew the Taliban in October 2001 when it invaded Afghanistan.



Since then, the U.S. has persuaded India, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan to sign an agreement aimed at constructing the pipeline, but the war in Afghanistan and the U.S.’s failure to defeat the Taliban stalled actual work on this project. Washington’s occupation of Afghanistan and pipeline plans are part of its strategy to gain control of Central Asia’s and the Caspian Sea area’s energy riches and divert them away from Russia, China, and Iran.



As Richard Boucher, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, stated in September 2007: “One of our goals is to stabilize Afghanistan so it can become a conduit and hub between South and Central Asia so that energy can flow to the south… and so that the countries of Central Asia are no longer bottled up between the two enormous powers of China and Russia, but rather that they have outlets to the south as well as to the north and the east and the west.”



However, as the Indian diplomat M.K. Bhadrakumar put it in an article for Asia Times, “The United States' pipeline diplomacy in the Caspian, which strove to bypass Russia, elbow out China and isolate Iran, has foundered.”

Oded Orbach 52, an Israeli-born American Jewish citizen, was arrested in Bucharest (Romania) on February 10, 2011. He is charged with conspiracy to provide material support and resources to Taliban, as well conspiracy to acquire and transfer anti-aircraft missiles. He faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted. He is being held in Romania and is awaiting extradition to the US.
Oded Orbach’s other six partners-in-crime included Alwar Pouryan 36 (US), Maroun Saade 58 (Lebanese), Walid Nasr 37 (Lebanese), Corneille Dato 48 (Benin), Martin Raouf Bouraima 40 (Benin), and Francis Sourou Ahissou 45 (Togolese).
According to the apologetic Jewish media - the ‘nice Jewish neighbor’ was ‘lured’ to Romania by an undercover agent to ink a deal for selling M16 rifles ($175 a unit), long-range sniper rifles (from $13,480 to $16,750 a unit) and Stinger missile ($49,000 a piece). I wonder whether those arms were for Taliban to fight the US-Nato occupation force or CIA-Mossad-RAW to carry-out terrorist activities in Pakistan and Iran.
Adam Pearlman, the Crypto-Jew, became famous when he joined Osama Bin Laden and acted as the spokesman for the phony Al-Qaeda. Adam’s grandfather, Carl Pearlman, was on the Board of Directors for Israeli lobby group, Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Then there is Morroco-born US-Israeli citizen, Joseph Leonard Cohen (Yusuf al-Khatab), who converted to Islam in 2002. He received the the title of ‘Self-Hating, Israel-Threatening (S.H.I.T) Jew for his pro-Palestinian rants.
In November 2010 – Nofrat Frenkel, a Jewish Israeli woman, (and a fourth year medical student) was arrested in Jerusalem for the crime of trying to pray with a Torah and for wearing a prayer shawl like the Afghan women at the Wailing Wall.
Interestingly, an Israeli-born Jew, Rose Cohen, from Sydney (Australia), who believes that Osama Bin Laden was Jewish too – because his mother had Jewish roots. Israel’s second President, Itzahk Ben-Zvi, in his book ‘The Exiled and Redeemed’ (1957) – had claimed that some tribes of Pakhtun (Taliban) are descends from the ancient Israeli tribe of Ephraim (Afridi). The Pakhtun, who live in eastern and southern Afghanistan and northwest Pakistan, had arrived there as early as 2700 BCE. That would make Taliban leader Mullah Omar, a Jewish Rabbi!!

Highland Park Man Charged With Agreeing to Aid TalibanA Highland Park resident has been arrested by federal authorities who have accused him of agreeing to provide weapons to the Taliban to be used against American troops in Afghanistan.
A sting operation by the Drug Enforcement Administration resulted in the arrests of seven men on Feb. 10, including Oded Orbach, 52. The Highland Park homeowner who is originally from Israel is charged with conspiracy to provide material support and resources to terrorists, and conspiracy to acquire and transfer anti-aircraft missiles, according to the criminal complaint. If convicted, Orbach could face life in prison.
Highland Park Mayor Mike Belsky called the arrest "bizarre."
"I don't want to say it's implausible," he said. "I just want to say it's very awkward to me that someone from Israel would be working against Israel's ally."
Belsky said that he was certain that the city's law enforcement was cooperating with the Department of Defense, and would continue to do so throughout this process. Orbach's house was searched by federal authorities the same day he was arrested.
"It's abhorrent to me that it's been alleged that someone living within our community would be working against this country," the mayor added.
Councilwoman and mayoral candidate Terri Olian said that Orbach's arrest was "very distressing." Her opponent, councilwoman Nancy Rotering, said she was "just shocked."
According to the Tribune, "paid informants posing as Taliban representatives conspired with the men to ship narcotics through West Africa—with a portion intended for the United States—and to use the proceeds to buy weapons for protecting Taliban-owned heroin labs in Afghanistan, authorities said."
Sheldon Langer, a Highland Park resident who's met Orbach on a few occasions, said he was "very surprised" to hear the news.
"I just hope it's not true," he said. "It's very sad for the whole family, and very troublesome."
Orbach has 19-year-old twin sons, according to his neighbors. Both of them are students at Highland Park High School.
"It shows a need for vigilance, but I hope people don't overreact," said District 113 School Board candidate Steven Narrod. "This tends to be a very welcoming community, and I hope we don't change that."

That Israel's economy seems to have emerged relatively unscathed from the crisis has leant much ammunition to enemies of the Jewish state. As does the fact that many of the world's financial leaders are of Jewish descent. Figures such as US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, his predecessor Alan Greenspan, World Bank President Robert Zoellik, UK Business Secretary Peter Mandelson and the 2008 recipient of the Nobel Prize for economics, Paul Krugman, have all come under attack due to their heritage.

* As of June 1, 2011, the official debt of the United States government is $14.3 trillion ($14,344,655,966,314).[1] This amounts to:

• $46,415 for every person living in the U.S.[2]

• $122,043 for every household in the U.S.[3]

• $305,107 for every U.S. household that pays more in federal taxes than they receive in benefits from the federal government[4]

* Publicly traded companies are legally required to account for "explicit" and "implicit" future obligations such as employee pensions and retirement benefits.[5] [6] [7] The federal budget, which is the "federal government's primary financial planning and control tool," is not bound by this rule.[8] [9]

 

* As of September 30, 2010 (the end of the federal government's fiscal year), the federal government has:

 

• $7.3 trillion ($7,297,000,000,000) in liabilities such as federal employee retirement and veterans' benefits[10]

• $17.2 trillion ($17,195,000,000,000) in unfunded obligations for the Social Security program

• $22.8 trillion ($22,800,000,000,000) in unfunded obligations for the Medicare program

• $122 billion ($122,000,000,000) in unfunded obligations for two other "social insurance" programs called "Black Lung" and "Railroad Retirement"[11]

These unfunded obligations are referred to as "closed group present values" and are calculated in a manner that approximates how publicly traded companies are required to calculate their debts and obligations.[12] [13] [14] The figures represent how much money must be immediately placed in interest-bearing investments to cover the shortfalls between projected revenues and expenditures for all current taxpayers and beneficiaries in these programs.[15] [16] [17]

* Combining the figures above with the national debt and subtracting the value of federal assets, the federal government has $56.5 trillion ($56,529,800,000,000) in debt, liabilities, and unfunded obligations as of September 30, 2010.[18]

* This shortfall is 82% of the combined net worth of all U.S. households and nonprofit organizations, including all assets in savings, real estate, corporate stocks, private businesses, and consumer durable goods such as automobiles.[19] [20]

* This shortfall equates to:

• $182,914 for every person living in the U.S.[21]

• $480,949 for every household in the U.S.[22]

• $1,202,373 for every U.S. household that pays more in federal taxes than they receive in benefits from the federal government[23]

* These figures do not account for the future costs implied by any current policy outside of the “social insurance” programs listed above.[24]

* These figures are contingent upon the continuance of current federal law and "a wide range of complex assumptions" made by federal agencies."[25] Regarding this:

• Social Security's 2010 annual report states that "significant uncertainty" surrounds the "best estimates" of future circumstances.[26]

• Medicare's 2010 annual report states that the program's financial projections "do not represent a reasonable expectation for actual program operations in either the short range … or the long range" because:

a) "Current law would require physician fee reductions totaling an estimated 30 percent over the next 3 years—an implausible result."

b) The 2010 Affordable Care Act [Obamacare] eventually reduces "Medicare prices for hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health, hospice, ambulatory surgical center, diagnostic laboratory, and many other services" to "less than half of their level under the prior law. …. Well before that point, Congress would have to intervene to prevent the withdrawal of providers from the Medicare market and the severe problems with beneficiary access to care that would result. … [This] would lead to far higher costs for Medicare in the long range than those projected under current law."[27]

JERUSALEM — Former President Moshe Katsav of Israel was convicted of two counts of rape by a Tel Aviv court on Thursday, capping a four-year spectacle that began with accusations of sexual misconduct against him while he was still in office.

A panel of three judges convicted Mr. Katsav of raping an employee while he was minister of tourism, a post he held from 1996 until 1999. The court also convicted Mr. Katsav of sexually abusing another complainant and of harassing a third while he was serving as president.
“This is not a happy day or an easy day,” said Ronit Amiel, the state prosecutor in the case, as she left the courtroom on Thursday. But expressing the mixed feelings of many Israelis, she said the verdict represented a “badge of honor for Israeli democracy.”
Mr. Katsav, looking shaken, made no comment as he left the court accompanied by his lawyers. His son, Boaz, said that the family would continue to stand by Mr. Katsav, that they were proud of him and that they were still convinced he was innocent.
Sentencing will take place in January. Many legal commentators said that such a harsh verdict would inevitably lead to a prison term.
Reading from a 25-page summary of the verdict, the presiding judge, George Karra, said that Mr. Katsav’s testimony was “strewn with lies,” that in one of the cases of rape his diary did not support his testimony, and that the victim had “struggled with Katsav in his office and found herself on the floor.”
Mr. Katsav resigned from the presidency in disgrace in 2007, two weeks before the end of his seven-year term, amid fierce public criticism over a deal he had reached with state prosecutors by which rape charges against him were dropped in exchange for an admission of guilt for lesser offenses. According to its terms, Mr. Katsav was to serve no jail time, but receive a one-year suspended sentence and pay compensation to two women.
In a dramatic courtroom twist in April 2008, Mr. Katsav backed out of the plea agreement, saying that he wished to fight for his innocence in court — a gamble that appears to have ended disastrously for the former president.
State prosecutors later presented a new indictment, reinstating the rape charges.
Mr. Katsav was allowed to go home on Thursday, but the court ordered him to deposit his passport with the authorities. His wife, Gila, who accompanied him at earlier stages of his legal battle, was not present for the verdict.

Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu once remarked to a Likud gathering that "Israel is not like other countries."

Oddly enough for him, that time he was telling the truth, and nowhere is that more evident than with Jewish nationalism, whether or not one pins the "Zionist" label on it.

Nationalism in most countries and cultures can have both positive and negative aspects, unifying a people and sometimes leading them against their neighbors. Extremism can emerge, and often has, at least in part in almost every nationalist/independence movement I can recall (e.g., the French nationalist movement had The Terror, Kenya's had the Mau Mau, etc.).

But whereas extremism in other nationalist movements is an aberration, extremism in Jewish nationalism is the norm, pitting Zionist Jews (secular or observant) against the goyim (everyone else), who are either possible predator or certain prey, if not both sequentially.

This does not mean that all Jews or all Israelis feel and act this way, by any means. But it does mean that Israel today is what it cannot avoid being, and what it would be under any electable government (a point I'll develop in another article).

The differences between Jewish nationalism (Zionism) and that of other countries and cultures here I think are fourfold:

1. Zionism is a real witches' brew of xenophobia, racism, ultra-nationalism, and militarism that places it way outside of a "mere" nationalist context - for example, when I was in Ireland (both parts) I saw no indication whatsoever that the PIRAs or anyone else pressing for a united Ireland had a shred of design on shoving Protestants into camps or out of the country, although there may well have been a handful who thought that way - and goes far beyond the misery for others professed by the Nazis.
    
2. Zionism undermines civic loyalty among its adherents in other countries in a way that other nationalist movements (and even ultra-nationalist movements like Nazism) did not - e.g., a large majority of American Jews, including those who are not openly dual citizens, espouse a form of political bigamy called "dual loyalty" (to Israel & the US) that is every bit as dishonest as marital bigamy, attempts to finesse the precedence they give to Israel over the US (lots of Rahm Emanuels out there who served in the IDF but NOT in the US armed forces), and has absolutely no parallel in the sense of national or cultural identity espoused by any other definable ethnic or racial group in America - even the Nazi Bund in the US disappeared once Germany and the US went to war, with almost all of its members volunteering for the US armed forces.
    
3. The "enemy" of normal nationalist movements is the occupying power and perhaps its allies, and once independence is achieved, normal relations with the occupying power are truly the norm, but for Zionism almost everyone out there is an actual or potential enemy, differing only in proximity and placement on its very long list of enemies (which is now America's target list).
    
4. Almost all nationalist movements (including the irredentist and secessionist variants) intend to create an independent state from a population in place or to reunite a separated people (like the Sudeten Germans in the 1930s) - it is very rare for it to include the wholesale displacement of another indigenous population, which is far more common of successful colonialist movements as in the US - and perhaps a reason why most Americans wouldn't care too much about what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians even if they DID know about it, is because that is no different than what Europeans in North America did to the Indians/Native Americans here in a longer & more low-tech fashion.

The implications of this for Middle East peace prospects, and for other countries in thrall to their domestic Jewish lobbies or not, are chilling.

The Book of Deuteronomy come to life in a state with a nuclear arsenal would be enough to give pause to anyone not bought or bribed into submission - which these days encompasses the US Government, given Israel's affinity for throwing crap into the face of the Obama administration and Obama's visible affinity for accepting it with a smile, Bibi Netanyahu's own "Uncle Tom" come to Washington.

The late General Moshe Dayan, who - Zionist or not - remains an honored part of my own Pantheon of military heroes, allegedly observed that Israel's security depended on its being viewed by others as a mad dog. He may have been correct.

But he neglected to note that the preferred response of everyone else is to kill that mad dog before it can decide to go berserk and bite. It is an option worth considering.
